../ 2024-10-03 ok this is exsactly why the terminal sucks if you don't know how to use a comand you have to ask the internet. there is no on board documentation for each comand. most "help" dialogs look like this. elliot@raspberrypi:~ $ pipewire --help pipewire [options] -h, --help Show this help --version Show version -c, --config Load config (Default pipewire.conf) None of that is usefull, it might as well not exsist. i'm trying to figure out how to set the peiriod of pipewire, for less audio latency. Is it going o help me fugire out how to use it? No. i have to go stumble around on various forums and websites of unrelated shit because i don't happen to know the exsact tequnical term or phrase to look for. 2024-09-05 yup i feel the same way bro It's time for change, it's time for Linux. - dankpods * 17:04 i was just angery i think i don't know. i wish somone with more computing knowlage would come along randomly and tell what i need. (probebly to stop using computers) sorry thats not an option. i like math to much to stop using computers. * 12:37 like sirously i only have so much atention i can give to things. if this stupid computer requires more atention to make it work that to actually learn the tools im trying to use and create with than its NOT WORTH IT. there's a reason why i've been looking into stuff like UXN and building my own VM. i'm just saying, a pen and a peice of paper just works. 2014-08-25 bro this fuckin sucks trying to install Tidal cycles does not work. trying to install Super collider gives me a broken ass IDE. i just want something that works every time. this computer is basically speaking in tonges whenever it gives me an error like this.
TASK [roles/tidal : install ansible task dependencies (debian)] ******************************************************************************** fatal: [localhost]: FAILED! => { "changed": false, "msg": " Failed to update apt cache: W:Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default., W:See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details., W:GPG error: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/strycore/Debian_12 ./ InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 2F7F0DA5FD5B64B9, E:The repository 'https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/strycore/Debian_12 ./ InRelease' is not signed. " }
like, i don't fucking care. i guess i don't want to use tidal cycles or super collider. not if i have to deal with this. sorry, i blame the testatarone. 2014-08-12 21:18 pure data crshes on linux if i try to chnage audio output. 2014-07-09 23:21 a certain level of comfort has started happening with the Debian Bookworm linux i got on my computer. its somthing i didn't have with windows 10. its reminding me of my childhood with windows 7, at least how i remember it. using paint to make epic pictures. lmms to make funky songs. gamesalad for some lill games. i feel like this is a space i know how to move around in now. at least the ui part of it. it has become a very epic tool for creating stuff, focusing, and finding insperatrion. its a nice feeling. 2014-06-21 10:54 alright i'm using linux now. Debian 12 bookworm variety, put it on my computer with one of the live images debian makes (xfce flavor, i hear its very fast and efficient). very smooth experence so far for normal things (web browsing, text editing, file manigment, games on steam with bros). just tuning in to say that using the terminal as a new user sucks royal ass. i find it extreamly criptic and unintuitive. i'm trying to install serialosc and my head hurts. alright my bitching is over. i think i kinda really hate computers. this means nothing to me.
elliot@elliots-computer:~/tools$ serialoscd /usr/local/bin/serialosc-device: error while loading shared libraries: libmonome.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
some time before to me linux just looks like a bunch of white well to do men with extra time to do whatever they want. i find this kinda gross. i find electronics kinda gross i guess.
