the history of the bible
im peved that the history of the bible is made out to be so simple in christian circles. usually it seams to be a case of selective reconstruction. there are parts which are considered "heretical", words which are "outdated". i find the bible to be a extremely interesting study in human sociology and tradition.
this is more a page of reasources. the historical environment which created the bible is complex and i'll just fumble the spesifics if i try to explain the details.

"i think perfect being theoligy leads to absolute incoherence, and its not compatable with the bible"
"its painful to the humman mind to admit that such wonderful incosistancies of language or ideas have ever found place in any human creed. yet so it is. it is but another way of saying there is a God who does not exsist, a being who is composed of non entity, who is the negative of all exsistance, who ocupys no space, exsists in no time, who composed of no substance (know or unknown), and has no powers or proporties in common with any thing or being known to exsist. Such a God could never be seen, heard, or felt by any being in the univerce."
"Speaking of things becoming true, heres whats interesting just historically speaking. The great christological debates where never resolved. Instead, a particular take of the christological debates was enforced. If you are outside the offical orthodoxy of the roman empire, the offical religion, you are not a heritic just in a vage sence, you are against the offical church." - A Mormon Explains Mormonism - Jacob Hansen
