the problem of evil
why would suffering exsist under a being who could get rid of suffering? the jesus of christianity is often shown to be symplethtic to the human condition. sybolism of dieing on the cross. "god becomes a human to bare our sin" could suffering just not be a thing please?
one way of explaining this is that, suffering is a mechanism of teaching. often within cristianity, human suffering is explained as a way to spiritually educate the world. knowlage of pain is helpful when somone wants to avoid pain. the most versial and emotionally relevant way to understand pain is to experience it. put your hand on a hot stove, your brain will do its best to keep you from doing that again. taking advantage of someone? as long as your brain feels guilty, it will try to help the body to not take advantage of them again. knowlage of pain become useful to a exsistance that is surounded by pain. tequnics to avoid and mitiage what pain in caused within your emotionally bonded group. is dangers did not exsist within reality there would be no need to learn about them or prevent them from ocurring becuase they simly would not happen.
one way to put this more simply. imagine, a deer in a forest. one day, an old pine tree falls, crushing the deer's back, parlisiting and piniing it to the ground. over the course of the next 4 days, the deer becomes severily dehydrated, staving for food, its family has left it with no way to help them. the deer slowly dies from starvation.
this and other things. when you cut your hand with a knife. when someone at work unitentionally hurt your emotional state. when there is not enough money for food and the govenment cut funding to public food services.
the mechinisms of nature are not conserned with our stories of ego. our self justifying mytholigies. more often, a explosivly destructly event will ocour and humans are left creating stories which explain their suffering.
i find that the story of christianity does not explain suffering well. and when it tries, it usually becomes unessisarily esoteric. one of those things that is "all part of god's plan". i do not trust a story to help fix anything that isn't phycological.
i find the idea that suffering is an object to be considered, as if it somthing extra or out place, to be kinda silly. "suffering" (or what we would call suffering) is just to well integrated into the systems of reality. pain a mental tequnice which the brain preforms in order keep itself alive. a mechenism itself which was formed by dna structures which were able to use this pain to create more copies of their genes. for me "suffering" is not a moral issue. its a phycally metaphysical phenomena.
